The U.S. Census Bureau produces annual estimates of the resident population for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and its municipios. The estimates are produced by age and sex using a residual cohort-component approach. In this session, participants will learn about the methodology and available data, as well as recent methodological adjustments made to address events such as hurricanes and the pandemic that affected the island's population. Participants will also learn about population projections available on the Census Bureau's International Database.
Census launched a state-by-state look at the demographic changes the new 2020 Census results reveal.
These state profiles bring you all key population characteristics of your state and your county on one page.
See how they compare to the nation overall and to neighboring counties and states. Through interactive state and county maps for the 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, each page provides a snapshot of change from 2010 to 2020 on five topics.
